Nikki DeBuse

Nikki DeBuse is general manager of Woodburn Independent newspaper. She began her career in journalism as a reporter in Woodburn covering police, city government and schools, and served as editor and managing editor before becoming general manager in 2000. She is a 1988 graduate of University of Portland, with a bachelor of science degree in journalism. DeBuse is an award-winning news and feature writer, and has also been honored for special section design. She is past president of the Woodburn Rotary Club, has served on the Woodburn Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors and was founder and past president of Love, Santa Inc., a local non-profit that provides food and toys during the holidays. She lives in Woodburn with her two children.
