Mt. Angel’s Oktoberfest returns Sept. 16-19 and the event is fun for the entire family. In addition to the Biergarten and Weingarten for adults, a Kindergarten will be available for children and will have a variety of activities.

MT. ANGEL — Every year over 350,000 people descend upon Mt. Angel for Oktoberfest. This year’s event, the 45th annual Oktoberfest, is Sept. 16-19. People are drawn to the tiny rural community by its beautiful countryside, Bavarian charm and one of the greatest folk festivals in the Northwest, said organizer Jerry Lauzon.  There is something for everyone at Oktoberfest: Over 50 little food chalets laden with rich, delicious Bavarian treats; a large arts and crafts show full of treasures to take home; a traditional Biergarten, family Weingarten and interactive family Alpinegarten.
