Now in its third year of play, Woodburn Golf Club is once again getting set to host the Oregon Sand Green Open on June 30.
The purpose of the tournament, according to Mick DeSantis, one of the event’s organizers and a board member for the golf club, is to raise funds and introduce new players to one of the more unique golf courses in the state.

No one was injured Tuesday afternoon when a school bus and a car collided near the intersection of Mount Hood Avenue and Tierra Lynn Drive.
The school bus was carrying 24 students from Valor Middle School in Woodburn when it turned right (east) off of Tierra Lynn Drive and crashed into the back passenger side of a Nissan Altima driving eastbound on Mount Hood Avenue.

North Marion High School graduated 140 seniors Friday night in a ceremony at Rolling Hills Community Church in Tualatin.
The event featured performances by the school band and choir and speeches from Superintendent Boyd Keyser and valedictorians Serena Sweningson, Josh Hauser and Michael Grigorieff.

Students at Nellie Muir Elementary School have been learning about service throughout the school year, and last week was no exception.
