‘Professional sub’ honored as best in the state

Heidi Disrud was named Oregon’s substitute teacher of the year by the OSTA

Heidi Disrud has been a substitute teacher in the Woodburn School District for 12 years. She was named the 2012 substitute teacher of the year by the Oregon Substitute Teachers Association. Here she is helping a student at Valor Middle School, where she does most of her subbing.
WOODBURN — For the second time in four years, Woodburn has the state’s top substitute teacher. The Oregon Substitute Teachers Association (OSTA) recently named Heidi Disrud as its substitute teacher of the year.
