Graffiti spree hits downtown area

Police officials say gangs tend to tag as school begins to ‘establish themselves’

Threatening graffiti appeared overnight recently in the 700 block of East Lincoln in Woodburn, just down the street from Washington Elementary School. The Woodburn Police Department has had a surge in reports of graffiti vandalism over the last couple of weeks.
WOODBURN — With summer winding down, there has been a recent spike in the number of cases of graffiti vandalism around the downtown business district.
