School board questions snail’s pace of WHS reconstruction

Architects blame insurance company for slow progress

A small army of workers has descended on the north end of Woodburn High School as installation of 11 modulars — 10 classroom units and a building with restrooms — continued last week. Four companies have been working six days a week at the site, including Corvallis contractor Pantheon Concrete (above). The modulars, delivered in mid-September, measure 56 feet by 27 feet.
WOODBURN — The earliest Woodburn High School will see any reconstruction of areas damaged by the May 11 fire will be April 2013, according to a timeline presented to the Woodburn School Board on Thursday night.
