A total of 40 new Nuevo Amanecer farmworker housing units are nearing completion at 1300 N. Second St. in Woodburn. The new residences are being built by the Farmworker Housing Development Corporation in a $9.5 million project that expands from the 90 residential units already occupied in the complex. Although a sound wall variance was denied by the city, the issue is not expected to have any impact on the scheduled completion date.
WOODBURN — The Woodburn Planning Commission has voted to deny a proposed variance requested for a portion of the Phase IV construction of housing units for Nuevo Amanecer.
