Ty Sawyer's 2-yard touchdown midway through the first quarter momentarily tied the game at 6-6 with Central Linn. Jonathan Venegas ran for the two-point conversion on the next play to give the Trojans an 8-6, which is all they needed in a 14-6 league-championship victory Friday night. The win jumped the Trojans to No. 1 in the OSAA power rankings.
MOUNT ANGEL — The Kennedy football team took advantage of four Central Linn turnovers and won its first league championship since 2004 with a 14-6 victory over Central Linn on Friday.
