At his workshop a couple miles outside Gervais, Doug Davis, owner of Doug’s Saddle Shop, demonstrates how he creates elaborate patterns on the leather he uses to make his custom-made saddles. He will show his work at a display booth inside the Wild West Art Show tent at the upcoming St. Paul Rodeo.
Doug Davis’ passion for horses took flight when he was a youngster living in a rural community near Santa Barbara, Calif.
