Local students, teacher honored by Marion County

Valor seventh-grader Gabriela Fernandez will have her artwork featured in a statewide calender next year

Fernandez will have her work (below left) featured in a statewide calender next year. Valverde was honored for the work he has done encouraging his students to participate in Marion County’s awareness campaigns. Rosalez received fourth-place honors for her work (below right) and received certificate and some other small prizes.
WOODBURN — Results of the ninth annual statewide problem gambling awareness calendar art search are in, and three Marion County students won state awards.
