Tristan RedBird, 16, has been raising money for the past few months to pay his way to Brazil as part of an educational exchange program. In addition to fundraisers, he has taken a job at the Woodburn Aquatic Center as a lifeguard. Even though he doesn’t leave for Brazil until next month, he said he has already learned a lot through the process of raising money.
Tristan RedBird isn’t the type of person who stays in one place for long. The 16-year-old student at Woodburn Arts and Communications Academy has only lived in Woodburn for a year, but will soon be off again, this time on an exchange program to Brazil.
