Leona and Harold Spohr, who have been married 68 years, walk the halls of Cascade Park Retirement Community, where they’ve lived for three years. The couple’s daughter gave them “Dad” and “Mom” signs to put on their walkers, and now even their friends passing in the hall jokingly call them Dad and Mom.
“I’ll be loving you, always. With a love that’s true, always.”The lyrics of the Irving Berlin song, “Always,” still strike a chord for Harold and Leona Spohr, who played it on their wedding day nearly 68 years ago.
