These youths wrote the majority of 70 letters that were sent to U.S. troops stationed in Afghanistan in time for Christmas. Many of the youths expressed encouragement in their cards, making sure those in the military realize that they know what it’s like not to be able to spend the holidays with their families.
WOODBURN — MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility is one of 10 close-custody facilities in Oregon that took part in holiday-oriented community service projects.
