All-State soccer
(Left to right) Michael Hobson, Carlos Horcos, Luis Rangel and Miguel Herrera all received all-state recognition from Class 5A coaches. Hobson was named state player of the year and Horcos state coach of the year. Rangel joined Hobson on the first team, while Herrera garnered second-team honors.
WOODBURN — The accolades continue to pile up for the Woodburn boys soccer team. Class 5A coaches recently voted junior Michael Hobson as state player of the year and coach Carlos Horcos as state coach of the year, after both helped guide the Bulldogs to its third straight state championship.
