Woodburn tops 5,500 enrollment

Monday marked the first day of school in Woodburn for grades kindergarten through ninth grade. Woodburn’s enrollment numbers topped 5,500 this year, which is more than last year. Students at Lincoln Elementary, which had the biggest student increase among elementary schools, gather in the gymnasium before being directed to various classrooms.
WOODBURN — The Woodburn School District opened its doors to a projected 5,500 students for the 2012-13 school year this week, 218 more students than were enrolled last year.
