Bischoff enjoying stint at Oktoberfest helm

Chris Bischoff is in his first year as president of Oktoberfest, replacing long-time president John Gooley in January

Chris Bischoff, owner of CAB Construction in Mount Angel, is no stranger to the inner workings of the annual Oktoberfest. Prior to being elected as president in January, he served for a dozen years on the Oktoberfest board of directors. Bischoff’s term as president runs until January 2013.
MOUNT ANGEL — Perhaps as much as anything else, Oktoberfest is about having fun. So it helps to have a president who enjoys himself even when wading through all the hard work of planning and organizing that goes into Mount Angel’s big yearly party.
