Gas station owner wants to eliminate gas tax

Woodburn Area Chamber of Commerce not in favor of business tax, despite what document says

Currently, all gas stations within the city of Woodburn pay the city 1 cent for every gallon of gasoline sold to help pay for local road repairs. A new proposal under discussion would replace it with a system based on how much businesses use local roads.
WOODBURN — In an era where taxes are almost universally unpopular, floating a proposal for a new tax on businesses at first seemed like a case of bad timing.
