Against the odds: Arcadio Gómez had to work twice as hard to graduate

Arcadio Gómez couldn’t read or write Spanish or English when he moved to the United States in 2001. Today, he’s graduating with a 3.5 grade point average and is headed to college, thanks in large part to hard work, perseverance and a solid home life.
Migrant workers often come to the United States looking for a better life for their children. Arcadio Gómez is one of those children.
