The lobby of the Bungalow Theater, which opened in 1911, is in line for major upgrading as a three-phase renovation project gets started. A $10,000 grant from the Ford Institute Leadership Program will cover most of the cost of the first phase — remodeling the entrance and lobby area. That portion of the work is expected to be completed late this year.
WOODBURN — A thousand-mile journey begins with a single step, as the saying goes. Perhaps that wise philosophy is analogous to a dream being pursued by a handful of Woodburn residents who have launched a campaign to restore the historic Bungalow Theater in Woodburn.
