A growing problem: Trees along streets in the Montebello neighborhood — including this example at the corner of Stanford and Baylor streets — are getting too big for the narrow spaces where they were planted and are beginning to badly damage sidewalks in the area. The city is in the process of devising a plan to address the issue.
WOODBURN — Even little seedlings will eventually grow into massive trees — a basic lesson of science that was apparently ignored by landscapers in one Woodburn neighborhood.
