Megan Appledoorn and Matthew Hodges are engaged to be married.
Megan Appledoorn, daughter of Mark and Tammy Appledoorn of Brooks, and Matthew Hodges, son of Randall and Patricia Hodges of Lake Oswego, are delighted to announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be graduated from Woodburn High School in 2005 and Linfield College in 2008. She now works for a nonprofit organization and lives in McMinnville.
The future groom is a 2002 graduate of Lake Oswego High School and a Linfield College graduate of 2006. He is currently an admissions counselor at the college in McMinnville, where he also currently resides.
The couple met while competing on opposing speech and debate teams at Linfield College.
A July 10 wedding is planned at the Appledoorn family home.
