Parkerson
 
Paul Parkerson, 81, of Woodburn died Feb. 12, 2010. He was born Dec. 3, 1928 in Oklahoma.
He was a truck driver for Delap Trucking.

He is survived by his wife Martha Reed-Parkerson of Woodburn; daughters Linda Brown of Newport, Paula Kresse and Jackie Arnold of Aumsville, Julie McKinney of Woodburn and Kathy Burland of Silverton; and brother Dale Baker of Woodburn.

Private family services will be held. Arrangements by Cornwell Colonial Chapel.
 
 
Babcock
 
Rodney E. Babcock, 66, of Woodburn, died Feb. 15, 2010. He was born Sept. 14, 1943 in Dallas and lived in Anchorage, Alaska from 1965-1988 before returning to Oregon in 1988. He enjoyed computers and photography.

He is survived by his wife Claudia Babcock of Woodburn; two sons and two grandchildren.
Private services will be held. Arrangements by Keizer Funeral Chapel.
 
 
Gillanders
 
Dora Olive (Tresider) Gillanders, 98, of Placerville, Calif., died Feb. 12, 2010. She was born Dec. 31, 1911 in Covington, Okla. To Wilbur Tresider and Anna Belle (Rogers) Tresider.

She was born in Oklahoma and lived in Michigan as a child before her family settled in the Woodburn area. She attended Hubbard Elementary School and graduated from Woodburn High School in 1930.
She married Bruce W. Gillanders on Sept. 26, 1934 in Woodburn. She worked at the cannery when she was younger and moved throughout the world with her husband throughout his 35-year career in the U.S. Air Force.

She enjoyed cooking and was a three-time grand prize winner of the Sacramento Union annual cook-off.
She belonged to the Christian Church and was president of the 2049th Wives Club as well as other civic and philanthropic affiliations in her youth and throughout husband's military career.

She is survived by two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce and children Dennis and Carrie.

There will be a graveside service Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. at Belle Passi Cemetery in Woodburn. Arrangements by Cornwell Colonial Chapel.
 
 
Grim
 
Bessie Lee Grim, 93, of Aurora, died Feb. 1, 2010. She was born Dec. 26, 1916 in Rickreall.
A memorial service will be held Feb. 27 at 3 p.m. at the Woodburn Seventh-day Adventist Church. There will be a private graveside ceremony at Aurora Community Cemetery.
 
 
Newton
 
Josephine F. Newton, 90, of Woodburn, died Feb. 16, 2010. She was born June 17, 1919 in Yankton, S.D.
She was a housekeeper at the Benedictine Care Center.

She is survived by sons Joe Newton of Woodburn and Norman Newton of Tualatin; daughters Sherrie Underhill of Silverton, Sue Hudson of Woodburn and Jill Lytal of Kannapolis, N.C.; brothers Joe VonDrachek of Michigan, Vern VonDrachek of Washington and Stephen VonDrachek of Kansas; sisters Mae Amstutz of Silverton and Frances VonDrachek of Salem; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Feb. 20 at 11 a.m. at Belle Passi Cemetery in Woodburn. Memorials can be made to Monitor Bible Church. Arrangements by Cornwell Colonial Chapel.
 
 
Schoor
 
Doris Ione Schoor, 78, of Woodburn, died Feb. 17, 2010. She was born April 17, 1931 in Venago, Neb. to William and Eva Shephard-Schmiedel.

She was a homemaker and was active with her church, the First Presbyterian Church of Woodburn and a member of the Woodburn PEO Chapter DT.

She married Edward Schoor on March 4, 1951.

She is survived by her husband Edward Schoor of Woodburn; son Wayne Schoor of Woodburn; daughter Janet Halme of Eagle Point; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Feb. 27 at 3 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Woodburn.
