WOODBURN — Motivational speaker and author Ewart Brown will present a series of six seminars designed to help business owners and managers enhance their leadership skills and grow their business.
Sponsored by the Woodburn Area Chamber of Commerce, these sessions will begin on Feb. 9 with “Creating a Desirable Environment.”
The next weekly sessions will be “A Super Boss — level 1” on Feb. 16, “Resolving Conflict” on Feb. 23, “Working With a Difficult Person” on March 2, “What Makes a Team a Team” on March 9 and concludes on March 16 with “Building Positive Relationships.”
The workshops will be held from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. at Chemeketa Community College in downtown Woodburn. The cost is $25 per session to Woodburn chamber members ($50 to non-members), with a $5 discount for three or more sessions.
Brown has been a pastor for over 30 years and has authored two books, including “Love Me With Tenderness,” which deals with conflict resolution. He has worked in hospitals in the nursing department, as chaplain and psychiatric therapist.
He has been a family life counselor and is the founder and director of the “Building Positive Relationships” seminar, which he has conducted for groups and individuals in the Woodburn area.
“Brown’s passion is to equip individuals to live the good life and change their world,” said Don Judson, executive director of the Woodburn chamber.
