Aurora hires former Mt. Angel Mt. Angel police chief to lead department

The hiring comes after a slew of firings by Mayor James Meirow to squash police officers from unionizing

Brent Earhart was hired as the new Aurora Police Chief. He resigned as Mt. Angel’s chief Oct. 21.
AURORA — The city of Aurora restructured its police department Nov. 24, hiring a new full-time chief and laying off its second full-time officer.
