The new crosswalk being constructed at Salud Medical Center across Highway 214 will have an island in the middle for pedestrians to wait for passing traffic. The city would have liked to get a traffic signal but the Oregon Department of Transportation said the intersection doesn’t meet state regulations.
WOODBURN — The city of Woodburn warned pedestrians this week that the $30,000 crosswalk being installed near Salud Medical Center should not create a false sense of security.
