Robbery turns into lesson on civic engagement

Giovanni Bravo and April Vasquez are both third-graders in Dana Re’s Spanish class at Heritage Elementary School. The two were involved in a recent letter-writing campaign after their modular classroom was broken into.
WOODBURN — A group of children at Heritage Elementary School has taken an unfortunate event and turned it into a lesson about civic engagement.
