Fourteen-year-old Brax Youd brought a work party to the Woodburn Police Department last Saturday to clear out the building’s garden area. This was done in preparation for another work day Oct. 17 to which Youd is inviting members of the community to help construct a garden in memory of Capt. Tom Tennant.
WOODBURN — Since its introduction in 1911, the Eagle Scout rank has been earned by more than 2 million young men, and Aurora resident Brax Youd is working to add his name to that elite list, honoring a fallen hero along the way.
