A fire started in this shed and spread to the home, located at 454 Rondeau Court in Gervais
GERVAIS — The Woodburn Fire District responded to a report of a house fire at 454 Rondeau Court in Gervais on Dec. 8. The first arriving engine reported heavy black smoke and flames showing from the rear of the structure. The crew initiated a transitional attack, knocking the flames down from the exterior and transitioning interior.

Woodburn Fire District responded with three engines, a ladder truck and an air support unit. Mt. Angel and Marion County Fire District No. 1 responded with one engine each and Hubbard Fire District provided coverage at Woodburn's Headquarter's Station with an engine.

The fire is still under investigation, but preliminary investigation indicates the fire may have started in a small detached shed equipped with commercial grade kitchen appliances. The fire then spread to the residential structure.
