EWU announces winter dean's list
CHENEY, Wash. -- Robert Wyatt of Woodburn was named to the Dean's Honor List at Eastern Washington University for winter quarter.
To be listed, a student must carry at least 12 credits and achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or above.
Gervais offers summer lunch program
The Gervais School District is participating in the Summer Food Service Program.
Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
The program will run from July 10 to Aug. 3. Meals will be provided at the following addresses and times:
n Gervais Middle School Cafeteria, 150 Douglas Ave. -- Breakfast, 7:30 to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday; Lunch, 11 a.m. to to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Alleckson earns Eastern degree
LA GRANDE -- Eastern Oregon University awarded a total of more than 800 bachelor's and master's degrees in the 2005-06 academic year. Graduates were formally recognized for their achievements at the Commencement Ceremony held in Community Stadium on June 17.
Donald P. Alleckson of Woodburn earned a bachelor of science degree in fire services administration from the College of Business.
