What the hail?
Tulip Festival extended one week
Photo: news

Hail pounded the 23rd annual Tulip Festival last weekend. Inclement weather has caused the festival to be extended one weekend, through April 27.

The 23rd annual Tulip Festival has been getting pounded by inclement weather, but event organizers have extended the festival another week. Hail this weekend produced near white-out conditions (above) as well as enough on the ground to make make a small snowman (right). Everything will be open through April 27 at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm. The tulips are in full bloom currently and the weekend weather projects no rain on Friday and Saturday.
