Mark Leantoine Enciso, of Woodburn, was arrested in West Linn after fleeing from police in a stolen car

On April 24 at 8:02 a.m., the Lake Oswego Police Department received a report of a car break-in that had just occurred at George Rodger's Park in Lake Oswego.

The suspect was last seen fleeing in a blue and silver Ford pick-up truck south on Hwy. 43. The complainant was able to tell the dispatchers the license of the vehicle.

Dispatch checked the plate and found it belonged to a stolen pick-up truck from Woodburn.

West Linn Police Officer John Satter heard the call, and along with other members of the WLPD proceeded to Hwy. 43.

Satter saw the truck near the intersection of Hwy. 43 and Buck Street. He turned around behind the suspect and signaled it to stop, using his emergency lights and siren in his marked WLPD patrol car, but the driver fled.

The pursuit went down Hwy. 43, in front of the WLPD building, and then onto an old bridge where it got stuck in traffic.

The driver was ordered out of the vehicle by Satter, along with several other officers, at gunpoint.

The driver was identified as Mark Leantoine Enciso, 39, of 467 Comstock Ct. in Woodburn. During his arrest he told officers he had a gunshot wound from a prior event and was in some pain.

He was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on attempt to elude (felony), unauthorized use of a vehicle and reckless driving.

The Lake Oswego Police will file charges regarding the theft from the vehicle in the park.

The property stolen from the vehicle in Lake Oswego was recovered, and, after processing, it was returned to its rightful owner.

No one was injured, and no property was damaged during the pursuit.
