Nicole Elizabeth Buchholz and Steven Thomas Silva, both of Oakland, are engaged to be married.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Kim Schneider of Donald and Mark Buchholz of Sublimity. She is also the step-daughter of Apryl Buchholz of Sublimity.
Formerly from Aurora, Nicole graduated from North Marion High School in 2005. She is currently working as a homemaker in Oakland.
The groom-to-be is the son John and Jan Silva of Oakland.
Originally from California, Steven moved to Oakland, where he graduated from Oakland High School in 2003. He moved to Aurora where he was a volunteer firefighter while attending Chemeketa Community College. Steven currently works for the Douglas Forest Protection Association in Oakland.
The couple is planning a June 28, 2008 wedding at the Silva Ranch in Oakland.
