Jonathan Reitan

Jonathan Reitan was born in Salem, grew up in Woodburn and graduated from Woodburn High School in 2002. He has worked at Woodburn Independent since 2003 in news, production, as classifieds manager, and currently in display advertising sales.

Now a resident of Salem, Jonathan still feels a strong connection to Woodburn as his friends and family still live in the area.
Jonathan has been a church pianist and editor of a small press magazine. He now focuses all his spare time volunteering for local organizations and raising funds for charities. He has served on the board of directors of Salem Rainbow Youth, Capitol Pride and the Imperial Sovereign Court of the Willamette Empire. His annual Red Ribbon Show event has raised thousands of dollars for HIV/AIDS organizations. He also volunteers as a guest speaker in local classrooms discussing HIV/AIDS awareness with students.

He likes to keep busy but is just as happy lounging in the sun in the park with his partner and reading a good book.
