Power Surge: North Marion grad enjoys success in first season of D-I baseball

Every year of baseball has been an endeavor of change for A.J. Christensen.  Over the past five years, he's attended four different schools, switched from aluminum bats to wood and then back to metal, and has seen the competition level rise with every step of the way.  After graduating from North Marion High School in 2007, he went on to star at Clackamas Community College for two years and has now made the leap 2,000 miles across the U.

Woodburn shows growth, despite second loss

WOODBURN — Tennis coach Tom Lonergan can already see the benefits of Woodburn’s summer program.  Although the Bulldogs have lost two of three matches this summer, after falling 40-19 to Clackamas last week, Lonergan said the team showed a great deal of improvement over its previous loss to the same opponent.
