Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon Humane Society investigators rescued 149 malnourished dogs in a crowded facility in Brooks, Willamette Valley Animal Rescue, on Sunday. As shown above, crates were stacked like cordwood, with as many as four dogs stuffed into individual carriers. The facility’s president, Alicia Inglish, was arrested and charged with 120 counts of animal neglect and one count of tampering with evidence.
