Karizma Garcia (left)?and Naela Galicia, fifth-graders at Heritage Elementary School, have been instrumental in the success of the Before School Book Swap. Both girls urged resource teacher Kathleen Kuftin, who started the program, to continue through the summer. The book swap helpers, including about a dozen other fifth-graders and their siblings, assist students who bring a book to the reading area to trade it out for another book.
