Distracted driving lessons

Killian McClure, a junior at John F. Kennedy High School, learns first-hand the dangers of texting and driving on a closed course last week. The exercise was part of Ford Driving Skills for Life, a nationwide program that came to JFK on Feb. 29 with the goal of lowering teen-involved accidents by exposing them to dangers of the road, including sliding, driving while intoxicated and driving while texting.
