Gervais park

Tuesday, Oct 04, 2011

Doug Burkhardt

Gervais will soon convert this weedy lot into a world-class greenway, thanks in large part to the Oregon Lottery. The lottery will kick in a total of $474,600 to make the 3.5-acre “Black Walnut Park” come to life, while the city of Gervais will contribute about $118,000. The project will create the first city park in the history of Gervais, which was founded in 1856.
