I feel for all parties involved in this horrible accident and what a beautiful loss of life. When I was 12 which was 45 years ago, I had a good friend whom I had just met the previous school year and who was also 12, get hit and killed by a car right in front of me. I still think and speak of her to this day. I have no idea if this could've been avoided, but I have to say that when I here of auto accidents involving people of the age of 80 and over, they don't have as quick of reflexes as a younger driver. It sounds like this accident may not have been the case. I have an Aunt in her 90's and she still drives which scares me to death for other people. My heartfelt Sympathy to the family and friends of this young girl. Diane
