Angie Kosovan (left) cooks borscht, a traditional Ukrainian stew, with her mother, Dina. Kosovan, a student at Wellness, Business and Sports School who will graduate June 3, moved to the United States at the age of 7 with her family from Ukraine to escape religious persecution.
