Junior class volunteers serve ice cream and other snacks they brought from home during a community building activity at Woodburn Academy of Art, Science and Technology. WAAST recently received a Celebrating Student Success Award from the Oregon Department of Education, and credits a lot of its student achievement to community building through daily interaction with a teacher mentor and other students.
