GMS celebrates Chinese New Year

Gervais Middle School eighth-grader Hailey Warren opens her Chinese envelope at lunchtime on Thursday as part of the school’s celebration of the Chinese New Year. The envelopes, which are traditionally given to children in China as a sign of good fortune, contained chocolate coins with Chinese symbols on them and Wolverine Bucks, which students can spend on items on the middle school campus.
