Miguel Gonzalez instructs freshman junior Yazmin Bonilla on a piece during his figure drawing class at Woodburn Arts and Communications Academy. Gonzalez, who graduated in the spring, recently was awarded a Gold Medal for the National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for his self-portrait and will have work in a show at Gallery Zero in Portland during the month of October.
