Valor Middle School Principal Victor Vergara leads the school in 10 minutes of silent reading as the kickoff for a challenge to read 350,000 pages by the end of May. The school was one of 10 schools in the state to receive the Celebrating Student Success Award for decreasing its achievement gap.
