The Woodburn boys soccer team defeated Sandy on Tuesday and is now setting its sights on Saturday's quarterfinal game. The Bulldogs won 2-0 thanks to a penalty kick by midfielder Jesse Martin in the first half and a goal by Michael Hobson in the second half.

Galindo’s Taekwondo earns first place at tournament

WOODBURN — Woodburn Galindo’s Taekwondo placed first out of 40 schools at the Grand Master Legacy Cup tournament Nov. 3. The event, which was at Mount Hood Community College, was attended by 18 Woodburn students who earned 38 medals, said coach Cenobio Galindo.
