Vera (Swinney) Weisgerber, 92, of Woodburn, died Sept. 16,
2012 at Monterey Court Memory Care in Clackamas. She was born May 20, 1920 in
Bowie, Texas to Walter and Samantha (Gorbet) Swinney, the youngest of six
children.

Juan Rios Ruiz, 77, of Hubbard, died Oct. 5, 2012. He was
born Nov. 19, 1934 in Asherton, Texas to Joaquin and Mariana (Rios) Ruiz.
He married Barbarita Fraga on March 25, 1957 and shortly
after he was drafted and served in the U.

Robert Jay Sparks, 74, of Woodburn, died Aug. 16, 2012. He
was born May 11, 1938 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Lester and Wilma Sparks.
He married Bernadette Sheldon on March 8, 1969.

Suzanne Courser-Baker, 71, of Keizer, died Oct. 14, 2012.
She was born Jan. 13, 1941 in Salem to Calvin and Jesse Thomas.
She grew up in Salem and graduated from North Salem High
School in 1959.

Calvin “Cal” Mikkelson, 94, of Woodburn, died Oct. 18, 2012.
He was born Aug. 19, 1918 in Silverton to Halver and Marguerite (Barnes)
Mikkelson.
He graduated from Silverton High School in 1939.

Frances Marie Kropf, 79, of Molalla, died Oct. 16, 2012. She
was born Oct. 3, 1933 in Nappanee, Ind., to Levi L. and Irene (Yoder) Glick.
She married Delbert Kropf in Hubbard on June 1, 1952.

Kenneth Gary Smith, 70, formerly of Woodburn, died Sept. 22, 2012. He was born June 6, 1942 in St. Paul, Minn. to Charles and Irene Smith.
They moved to Oregon in September 1944.

Ivan Harold Hove, 74, of Woodburn, died Oct. 18, 2012 from congestive heart failure, with his family by his side. He was born Jan. 22, 1938 in Monitor to Harold and Ida Hove, the youngest of three children.

Lucile E. (Edwards) Betts, 91, of Woodburn, died Oct. 27, 2012. She was born to Robert and Erie Edwards in Ellensburg, Wash. She moved to Tacoma, Wash.
