The couple was married Jan. 2, 1965, in St. Paul.
Having raised three children in the country, Dean has worked in lumber and Louise has worked as a teacher.

Woodburn’s annual downtown Christmas tree lighting event was held Sunday night, featuring the music of the Dickens Carolers, who led a parade from the Settlemier House to the Downtown Plaza, where Mayor Kathy Figley led a countdown to the lighting of the Plaza’s Christmas tree.

Ag West Supply, 2929 N. Pacific Highway in Woodburn, is raffling off a red, white and blue quilt on Dec. 15.
The proceeds will go toward Quilts of Valor, a nonprofit that sends quilts to military personnel veterans as a way of thanking them for their service and providing comfort to them.

This year’s annual parade of golf carts through The Estates was yet again a success, despite chilly winds and the threat of rain.
The Estates Golf Car Christmas Light Parade has been a tradition at The Estates Golf & Country Club since 1991, said organizer Becky Butts.
